Also known as kinetic watches, automatic watches hold a charge for about 2 days, so you can take it off at night while you are sleeping and the watch will continue to work. For people who own multiple watches or don't wear their watch every day, there are watch winders that are compact that simulate a swinging arm movement to keep your automatic watches charged. Watch Winders are set on a timer and only swing your automatic watches for a few minutes once every 6-8 hours.
